Meet Paul Lake, our new UK Sales Manager at Smart Packaging Solutions

At Smart Packaging Solutions we have always been passionate about providing our customers throughout the UK with our high quality and innovative solid board packaging. To further strengthen this commitment to the UK market we are pleased to announce that Paul Lake is joining us this month, as our new UK Sales Manager.

With many years experience working in the solid board packaging industry and an in-depth knowledge of his home market, Paul becomes Smart Packaging’s first ‘resident’ head of sales to manage and grow our business in the UK.

“I feel privileged to be appointed to this new role and I am very much looking forward to establishing Smart Packaging Solutions as a leading supplier of solid board packaging here in the UK”, says Paul. “As part of the independent, family-owned VPK Packaging Group, Smart Packaging’s company values and long-term commitment to their organization, their products and their customers really attracted me to making this career move. Smart Packaging currently serves customers throughout the UK and Ireland both directly and through local distributors Lyburn Supplies and CRT Packaging. Paul comments: “It is important to respect the long-established relationships that we have with these companies and I fully intend to support them while also growing Smart Packaging’s presence in the UK market on a stock and serve basis from locally managed facilities. Customers need to know they are working with a trusted partner who is committed to providing them with the products they need, when they are needed, and for the long-term. Anything else is secondary to this."

Paul has spent many years working in the solid board industry: “I am very happy to continue developing the potential of solid board. It is more important than ever today to provide packaging that is recyclable, made from recycled materials, and which has been manufactured in a sustainable way. The VPK Packaging Group has long been a pioneer in advancing this circular production process and so at Smart we will strive to continue providing our customers with innovative, sustainable packaging solutions for many years to come.”
